Open Arms Mission in Welland has a lot of food that “needs to go quickly.” On Wednesday at 1 p.m, the mission is hosting a giveaway, thanks to “very generous” donors — one anonymous and the other a local restaurant. Swiss Chalet on Niagara Street has donated 100 fresh chickens and “all the fixings,” said executive director Marty Misener, adding they will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
